CALL OF DUTY TO RELEASE WARZONE DLC BASED ON WALMART AT ADMIRAL & MEMORIAL IN TULSA

Activision has confirmed a new Call of Duty: Warzone DLC set at the Walmart located at the intersection of Admiral Place and Memorial Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Walmart has previously closed following multiple reports of crime and safety concerns. Public records show daily police calls to the location involving theft, fights, drug-related activity, and disturbances. The parking lot is known for consistent vending activity, including tamales, puppies, and other goods.

The Warzone: Admiral and Memorial DLC will include a full-scale recreation of the store and surrounding area. The map will support a standard battle royale format, with heavy player-versus-player combat across both the interior and exterior of the property. Players will land in the parking lot, where they can loot abandoned vehicles, overturned carts, and vendor tents before moving inside the store for close-quarters combat.

One mode will focus exclusively on the parking lot, where up to 150 players will engage in a last-man-standing shootout with cover provided by old trucks, gas pumps, and barricades left from police responses.

In addition to the main battle royale, two extra game modes will be released. In the first, players will take on the role of petty thieves, competing to steal the highest-value items from inside the Walmart and escape through one of the exits without being caught. Items include electronics, bikes, and portable grills. Players must avoid cameras and employees while looting under time pressure.

The second mode flips the perspective: you play as the receipt checker at the door. Your task is to inspect players as they attempt to leave, using limited clues and a flashlight. You’ll have to decide who gets stopped and who gets waved through. If you let a thief escape, you lose points but stopping innocent shoppers slows you down and creates chaos at the door.

According to developers, the location was selected due to high real-world activity, traffic volume, and layout density, making it suitable for large-scale multiplayer combat.

Local players are already debating online. There’s a mix of pride and embarrassment as the iconic Tulsa location becomes immortalized in the franchise.

“It’s kind of messed up, but also kind of amazing,” said Derek Garfield, a Tulsa native and longtime Call of Duty player. “I’ve been jumped in that parking lot and I’ve also bought a lawn chair there for five bucks. It’s accurate.”

The DLC will be available later this year.
