TULSA, OK —
The McDonald’s located at the intersection of Admiral Place and Memorial Drive has been fully demolished.
Crews arrived early in the morning and began tearing down the building without prior public notice.
A local representative offered a blunt explanation:
“We’re just tired. Daily shootings, drug deals in the parking lot and inside, full-out fistfights over missing condiments… At some point, this stops being a franchise and starts being a battlefield. It’s best it’s gone. It’s best for the world.”
The restaurant had served the community for decades. For some, it was the closest thing to a family dining tradition.
“My family eats biscuit sausages and sweet tea five times a week. I don’t know what we’re gonna do now. Cook?” said Darryl C., a longtime customer who showed up just hours too late for one last order.
Food trucks have already begun circling the area like vultures, trying to seize the now-vacant market. Several were spotted this morning offering breakfast burritos, horchata, tamales, and oversized aguas frescas, parked just across from the demolition site.
Despite the teardown, local reports confirm that drug deals and shootings in the area continue at the same pace.
“All that changed is now the bullets echo a little more,” said a nearby resident.
Meanwhile, the Burger King across the street remains standing. With its main competitor out of the way, it now reigns by default.
As of now, no official replacement has been announced for the lot. Some speculate it may stay empty. Others say a vape shop, others a seasonal fireworks stand.
But one thing is certain: McDonald’s has exited the battlefield. And the neighborhood notices.
