The Oklahoma Gaslight is often accused of promoting hate and division due to the nature of our posts. The reality is that critical thinking requires effort; it is a lot easier and more comfortable to make a judgment without knowing or seeing the human behind the story. We do not create hate or love; those are feelings that were already inside of you. You have agency.
You are a person with free will who makes a daily choice between love and hatred. What you show in the comments section is entirely up to you. You see a video of people protesting, and it is your choice to hate it. You can look away. You can block the page. But the reality is that many love to hate, and they can’t even take accountability for it.

What pushes you to insult someone you know nothing about? If you can choose between love and hate, why not choose the option that makes people happy? Love is an infinite resource. It does not run out. In fact, the more you give it, the more it spreads. It makes life worth living.
