In my experience, through my posts and interactions with our MAGA community, I realized MAGA seems to have a very clear and simple understanding of reality. Things are either good or evil, Republican or Democrat. You either love the USA, or you are a communist. But what is it about communism that MAGA actually hates?
When people highlight their fear of the former Soviet Union, they talk about repression, the gulags, the KGB, political propaganda and the lack of freedom of speech. America prides itself on holding elections and having a say in who gets to be its leader. But what if I told you that we are slowly losing all of the things that made us so different from other dictatorships around the world?
Donald Trump has said before that he wants to put his political enemies in prison. He has said it is his desire to hang Democrats for treason. Trump officials have accused the networks that refused to air his prime-time announcement of treason.
We have an active paramilitary agency that profiles people based on their skin color. They just killed two people, and whoever isn’t killed is sent to detention facilities to suffer subhuman conditions. We need to be careful about what we say and be even more careful when we want to talk about Israel, for some reason even more careful than when we talk about the USA.
In the last couple of days, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin has said he plans on putting state officials who do not comply with Trump’s orders in prison. He plans on overriding whatever authority state officials have. We are living in a time when, if Trump wants it, Trump gets it. I listened to Mazzei’s argument in favor of the Inola aluminum smelter: “It’s President Trump’s desire for the facility to be in Oklahoma.”
Donald Trump has plans to somehow run in 2028. In fact, he is selling merchandise for it through his official Trump Shop. He has also speculated on live TV about ways he could get away with it.
Never-ending terms, paramilitary groups, propaganda and a cult of personality surrounding a leader who tells people exactly how they need to feel, what they have to say and what they should be thinking. Do you see the parallels? Wake up, America. Wake up, Oklahoma.
