The University of Oklahoma’s reputation has been placed under scrutiny following the infamous “Fulnecky” incident, to the point that some people are now saying a degree from OU is completely worthless. In an effort to prove that OU degrees still hold value, the University of Oklahoma has reportedly teamed up with Clawee and different skill machine companies to begin offering OU degrees as top prizes, hoping to show that people will still try hard to obtain one.
“The number of new applicants has dropped considerably. We are already known as a ‘degree farm,’ so putting up medical degrees as prizes seems like a smart business strategy,” said an OU representative.
“Despite long negotiations, the top prize at the Clawee machine remains a Nintendo Switch, followed by an Apple TV, making the OU degree feel more like a participation trophy.”
Clawee reports that customers have shown little interest in the OU degrees and that some have been seen throwing them away, since the real prize is the Nintendo Switch.
OU is now reportedly teaming up with the Tulsa State Fair to offer biology degrees at the Goldfish game booth.
