The national average price for gasoline has climbed back above three dollars per gallon as military action in the Middle East continues to escalate, now involving 13 countries in the area.
Energy analysts say that as long as the conflict continues, gas prices are likely to keep rising as oil markets respond to fears of prolonged disruptions in global supply.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important oil transit routes in the world. Roughly 17 to 20 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum liquids pass through the Strait of Hormuz every day. Today, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps publicly vowed to attack any ship trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, saying the strait is “closed” and that vessels attempting to transit it would be fired upon and “set ablaze.”
“I am MAGA but I am not happy about the war or getting American kids killed in a war that is not ours. Trump promised America first and I was all about that but now it seems like he lied. Why are we fighting Israel’s war?” said Bob, a Trump supporter in Tulsa.

Military officials have also suggested that the situation remains fluid, with further operations possible as the conflict develops.
