Tulsa residents are being offered $50 to attend a three hour documentary about Melania Trump produced by Amazon, according to a Craigslist ad circulating this week. The listing offers cash payment to attendees who remain seated for the entire screening, scheduled for this weekend. Organizers state that paying attention to the film is not required for compensation.
According to the ad, remaining awake during the movie is also not a requirement.
“You don’t even have to be sober,” said one organizer. “As long as you remain seated, we don’t care if you are high, drunk, or passed out. Just occupy the seat and we will be fine.”
Experts say the film’s reported $40 million budget is inconsistent with its apparent production quality, suggesting Amazon and the American government are allegedly using the documentary to launder oil and gold money from Venezuela.
“This movie did not cost $40 million to make,” one expert said. “I’ve seen better productions on Discovery Kids. Heck, even Paw Patrol has a better plot.”
“Easiest 50 bucks of my life. I’m coming pregamed and bringing my Nintendo Switch fully charged. Some other attendees and I are planning on playing Mario Kart during the showing. It will be great,” said one person attending this weekend.
The Oklahoma Gaslight attempted to obtain tickets for the screening but has not yet received a response. We will keep you updated.
